RAIDEN           HBV-05-E

General Info

Well, there's nothing much I can say 'bout this virtuaroid. He's really heavy, not to mention really powerful. His twin Lasers are THE most destructive long-range weapons in the entire game, excluding Z-Gradt's incredible Laser Cannon. Stay away from them at all costs! One hit will leave you with 1/2 of your life gauge, depending on who you use. His Bazookas are also great, spreading and hitting anyone within their range. Now, here is his worst shot. His Ground Bomb. It is THE worst bomb in the entire game, which gives off a very low explosion. Nevertheless, it's better than Apharmd's side dash bomb, and also better than nothing. Great for people who love a virtuaroid with lots and lots o' power.

Background Notes

Raiden is by far the most expensive of all the Virtuaroids. The cost of manufacturing one Raiden unit is equivalent to that of twenty Temjin units. As a result, the lower cost Dorkas and Belgdor units followed after the creation of Raiden. Raiden was originally developed for support, and not one-on-one combat. Not many players use Raiden because of his slow speed, and high centre of gravity. The power of Raiden's Lasers is so immense because their orginial purpose was to intercept and destroy invading spacecraft before they entered the planet's atmosphere. Raiden's Lasers came from the battlecruisers that were disassembbled after the war, and as there were only 26 battleships in the fleet, there are only 26 Raidens in existance. Very, very rare, and very, very expensive. The McLaren F1 of the virtuaroids.
